NEW YORK (AP) — Former NBC and ABC producer Eric Weinberg has $5-million bail revoked after a judge labeled him a risk to society and a danger to the court.

Judge John McAvoy of Federal District Court in Manhattan revoked bail after Weinberg was arrested Oct. 28 on charges that he failed to pay back taxes and $1.5 million in penalties related to his production of World War II propaganda that he produced.

Weinberg, 62, is accused of failing to pay $575,000 in taxes for the production of radio broadcasts that aired under the auspices of the U.S. Office of War Information. He is also under investigation over allegations he failed to give up his ownership of a $300,000 home that he purchased in 2007.

McAvoy also revoked bail of Weinberg’s father, the former ABC executive Harry Weinberg. Harry Weinberg was released from jail and ordered to appear Oct. 30 in court for a hearing to decide on his bail.
