Britney Spears won’t do an Oprah interview, ‘because it would be today’

Britney Spears has no immediate plans to do an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Spears last spoke to Winfrey on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” in April 2013.

On CBS This Morning, Britney’s manager said the pop star has no immediate plans to do any interviews.

“If it was tomorrow I would [do one]. But if it were today I wouldn’t do it,” the manager, Larry Rudolph, said.

The former teen queen spoke to People on her latest Las Vegas residency “Domination,” which takes place in the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Spears was chosen by Winfrey as a contributing editor to the Oprah Winfrey Network, and she made the first on-camera appearance for the OWN show.

At the time, the famed TV icon praised the 33-year-old singer, who was stepping into Winfrey’s own shoes after her long on-air chats with a bevy of celebrities.

“Britney Spears is doing phenomenal,” Winfrey said. “I mean, I think that people just haven’t noticed this. Because Britney Spears is doing really great. She’s taken really wonderful care of herself. She’s had the right people around her, and really, that’s all you can ask for.”

The pop diva has given us nine chart-topping albums, fourteen number-one hits, and upwards of an estimated $270 million dollars in sales.
